Well, the logging people have visited Summer Lightning,
and if you've been up to the trails in the last week, you'll have seen what
they've been up to.
It's not as bad as it might look, however - underneath all of the cut
foliage and piles of logs the trail appears to be generally unharmed.
Thinning work took place on the first three sections of Summer Lightning
a while back, and it didn't take too long for it to recover.
We're waiting to hear back from the Forestry Commission about when the
site will be open again so we can tidy up - it may be in March or May.
In the mean time, don't forget our building day on Sunday, 12th
February - we'll be finishing off the downhill off the second section of
Summer Lightning. See you there!
